Some of R. C. Sproul’s most significant writings have focused on the doctrine of Scipture. Not all of this material is in print, and no volume has ever collected his best writings on this pivotal doctrine.
Part 1 consists of four essays originally published in symposiums: (1) Sola Scriptura: Crucial to Evangelicalism, (2) The Establishment of Scripture, (3) The Case for Inerrancy: A Methodological Analysis, and (4) The Internal Testimony of the Holy Spirit. Part 2, the author’s commentary on the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy, treats the Word of God and six things: authority, revelation, inspiration, inerrancy, truth, and you.
The Chicago Statement (1978) and the Ligonier Statement (1973), two documents to which the author was a key contributor, are reproduced in full.
